There laid they Jesus therefore because of the Jews’ preparation [day]; for the sepulchre was nigh at hand.
Ἐκεῖ οὖν διὰ τὴν Παρασκευὴν τῶν Ἰουδαίων, ὅτι ἐγγὺς ἦν τὸ μνημεῖον, ἔθηκαν τὸν Ἰησοῦν.
